KMBC and Rock and Roll MTB Present: Come and Try MTB on 21st March

Come and join the Kalamunda Mountain Bike Collective and Rock n Roll Crew to see what all the fuss is about!

Arrive at 9 am to sign in, meet and greet and then we can head out onto the trails! Suitable for beginners and suitable from 8+ if confident riding a 2-wheel bicycle. Children must ride with an adult.

Ride: 9:30-11:30am (groups may spilt up depending on skills)

11:30-12:30 - The Kalamunda MTB Collective will unveil the sea container new artwork plus check out the upgraded BBQ area with a sausage sizzle.

Bookings Essential for hire bikes ONLY however this event is FREE. Hire bikes (helmets included) only available for guided rides.

If you have your own bike you can still come along – please ensure you arrive before 9:30am so you can sign in for the ride.

What to bring:
Water bottle – sports plastic bottle or hydropack
Enclosed shoes
Comfy exercising clothes – riding kit if you have it
Gloves are highly recommended
Sense of adventure!

Whatever your reason, we want to help you change that attitude and be more confident on the bike. Come and join KMBC at its new monthly beginner ride!

Come and help us clean up our BBQ area for the Come and Try Day. A lucky helper will win a Shuttle Card prize for their help. Drawn at 12noon.

The rain has returned and it's time to get started on maintenance!

The agenda is to do some much needed pruning and drain clearing on a variety of trails through the network. Stick around for a bbq after, and maybe even a night ride depending on interest and time. Pitch in, meet some cool people, learn about the network, and take the opportunity to get a close look at features/lines on the trails you ride (you may be surprised how much walking the trail can change your riding). Bring water, strong boots, and gloves.

Full Moon Beginner Night Ride

Join us for a guided beginner's night ride on the Kalamunda trails! We'll take a relaxed spin around some of the easier trails that the circuit has to offer, whilst soaking in the beauty of the bush under full moonlight.

Details:
- Beginners welcome! Some familiarity with the trails will be beneficial, but is not required.
- You will need to be a KMBC member. Please sign up prior to the night. (https://www.kmbc.org.au/memberships)
- Meet at 6:00pm by the KMBC container (Camel Farm car park) to sign in and get set up.
- The ride will start at 6:30pm.
- We'll ride the "Easy Cruisy Loop" (https://www.kmbc.org.au/trails) or a slight variation thereof.
- Aim to be back at the Camel Farm by 8:00pm.

Please bring:
- A working bike.
- Helmet.
- Charged lights (one mounted to your handlebars and one mounted to your helmet).
- Enough water/nutrition for a 10km, 1.5hr ride.

Halloween Full Moon Night Ride

Join us for a guided beginner's night ride on the Kalamunda trails this Halloween! Come dressed up in your spookiest outfit and we'll take a relaxed spin around some of the easier trails that the circuit has to offer, whilst soaking in the beauty of the bush under full moonlight.

- All level of riders and ages welcome to this event

We really need you to register your attendance in order for us to be able to ensure we meet the Covid-19 restrictions, it may mean we ask groups to meet in different locations at the Camel farm. Thanks

IMPORTANT: Due to Covid-19 restrictions we need everyone attending to self-seed into the appropriate riding group, it is important that when you arrive you immediately proceed to your group meeting location. Post-ride there can be no formal mingling, and KMBC will not be providing catering until restrictions are lifted further. More information will be provided to participants.

GROUPS AND MEETING LOCATIONS:
Green (~15km) - Beginners/Ladies* - Meet at the start of the skills loop
Blue (~20km) - Meet at the KMBC sea container
Black (~25+km) - Meet at the Break the Boundary Hub

Returning to the Camel Farm around 3-4pm

*Ladies are encouraged to enter any group they wish (we know you are all guns!), join the beginner group if you would like a more social ride.

Ok guys, here it is

Our next ride is in Dwellingup on Saturday the 29th of August at 10am for a 10.30 roll out.

Meet point will be the carpark outside the Dwellingup Pub

We will be doing the Marrinup loop which is approx 5ks away on the Munda Biddi from the Pub.

Now if you'd prefer to just meet us at the Marrinup Loop instead of riding out to it then you are more than welcome to do so, please just let me know before hand if that's what you're going to do, so that way I know who to expect when we arrive

Lunch will be at the Pub after our ride, no beer for the kids.
